Product Description

"We've certainly had our share of silly songs, but writing songs that mean something is very important to us these days," Lukacinsky stresses, "because there's enough 'I lost my girl'-type songs out there. Like, 'Burning In The Aftermath' is about the human denial of the treat nuclear weapons, and 'Did You Ever Get A Feeling Of Dread?' is about how the government is banking on the hope that most people in this country are ignorant about what goes on behind the scenes. We're definitely not afraid to talk about more serious subject matter, because the day that we can't express our opinions about what's going on in this country is going to be a sad day. The scary thing is that a lot of people don't really want to hear about serious issues, but maybe now they'll start taking notice of what's going on and paying more attention to lyrics, since things are getting so preposterous in the world."

Whether fans are paying attention to the Suicide Machines' potent political messages or equally potent punk melodies, it's undeniable that A Match And Some Gasoline is the kind of album that is essential listening.
