- THE BRIGGS - Leaving the Ways (EP/CD) (2004)
Product Description
Leaving the Ways captures that live energy, but at the same time producer Gittleman helped the group harness that into a coherent recording.
'He's great because he really knows how to structure a song, and what was best in terms of speed and feel,' says Jason of the studio experience.
With eclectic musical tastes that range from Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, Desmond Dekker, Derrick Morgan, Elvis Costello, Leonard Cohen and Miles Davis to the Ramones, Bad Religion, Chili Peppers and the Sex Pistols, The Briggs are out to break down those 'Dungeon Walls' in more ways than one.
'We are definitely four of the most open-minded to try new ideas and not just write the same record over and over,' says Joey. 'We try to keep true to what we do, and at the same time, introduce new aspects of our personalities.'
